The ant is one of the most admirable insects that exist, and it is nothing more nor less than its ability to cooperate and coordinate for the good of the colony and its proper functioning.
But like all insects, it can become a pest when it crosses our lines. When they invade our houses or attack our plants. And in that they are true experts. Among all the characteristics that I can say, I want to highlight the 2 most important and that directly influence its control:

The Camponotus, is an ant that builds its colony within the wood. It does not eat wood, but consumes other things, but the most important thing to know is that they drill the wood to make the tunnels, which means an imminent problem for the structures. At first it may seem unaffected, but according to the natural deterioration of the wood combined with this internal perforation, it can lead to structural accidents.

Anyway, if you think they eat plants, you are wrong. Because the only thing they do over and over again, is to contribute their piece of leaf, flower, or stem, for the generation of an incredible underground fungus, on which the entire colony feeds.

Another of the most common species that attack our homes is the fire ant (Wasmannia auropunctata), or its analog Pheidole megacephala.

They launch on that in a matter of minutes. They invade kitchens and rooms very easily, and the most impressive thing is that they sting strongly. Not for nothing our dear Wasmania
has that nickname, but because its sting hurts like fire. This makes them wild species that require control if we want to stay out of reach.
We already know who we are up against.
Now let's move on to how to do it.
There is and one way to combat them and that is to cut off your food supply. I'll explain how to achieve it in a moment. At the same time, what is being sought is to create a perimeter that is protected with the sole purpose of preventing them from entering it.

The truth is that safety regulations - imposed by me - prevent the application of poisons potentially harmful to ants in devastating proportions that allow the destabilization of the colony in a matter of hours.

Not only for the members of the place, but also for the applicators, and even neighbors. Not to mention the contamination to the environment, which is a very important aspect to take into account. That is why i have settled down
Procedures that can be applied in domestic environments, taking into account everything that a home, a shop, or an office means, and at the same time that they achieve the objectives set out in the previous paragraph.
As we already know, ants act as an individual organism , and this means that EVERYONE will stay, or all will leave. It is not that a sector is going to detect the poison and as it is rebellious to the authorities it is going to leave work in the middle. No. And this is what I personally admire about this species, and that is that they stay until the end.
Well, this is only achieved with CONSTANCE. Because as we already said, they are very tenacious and very resistant. Besides that there are hundreds.
So, if we apply the two ways to finish them (I repeat, cut their food supply, and establish a perimeter) for an estimated period of 60 to 120 days. Sooner or later they will abandon their routine due to the high level of mortality within the colony.
Cutting the supply is achieved with good practices. Do not leave food around and store it in plastic containers. The benefit of this not only applies to ants, but also that cockroaches are going to be affected by this, which implies that they do not have one of their main motivations to move into your kitchen.
And the perimeter is established with quality products from time to time.
In the case of garden ants, there is an extra method that does not cut off their food supply. Rather, it creates a new one for you. A specially formulated bait for ants is installed, with the sole objective of affecting the fungus that feeds them. It is very cruel, but effective.
This is all no secret. It is simply understanding your routine, and taking action on it.

Depending on the size of the colony, it will be the time it takes for the ants to DEFINITELY decide to leave their home or land. And this is repeated over, and over, and over. Until it ends.
